Bomb the Witch is a narrative-driven pixel-art action platformer developed during an extended game jam. The story follows a man whose sister is abducted by an evil witch and dragged into a warped pocket dimension—an arcane castle shaped by dark magic. To survive, the protagonist allies with a wise (and eccentric) alchemist who teaches him the art of alchemy, allowing the player to enhance abilities and craft explosive tools to push deeper into the castle.

I created the majority of the game’s visual content, including all animated character and enemy sprites (excluding the witch), environmental tilesets, and spell/ability UX for the witch’s attacks. This included full animation pipelines for player actions, enemies, and interactive elements, as well as modular background tiles such as pillars and alternate terrain sets.

The final visuals are a collaborative effort between myself and two additional artists, whom I supported and coordinated with as they explored pixel art for the first time. This project demonstrates my ability to lead visual development, maintain stylistic cohesion across contributors, and adapt production scope to support team growth while delivering a complete, playable experience.
